The guys at Gamespot just released a Q/A with THQ’s Omar Kendall. The Undisputed 2010 developer reveals some interesting new changes.

- Three new Martial Arts (Karate, Sambo, Greco-Roman Wrestling).

- New Create-a-Fighter improvements.

- Southpaw and Orthodox stances. The ability to change stances during a fight.

- Moves are not limited to stances.

- Shining Submissions only. Button Smashing Submissions are removed.

THQ recently announced UFC Undisputed 2010. The game is set to be released on May, 25th 2010. Check out the featured video on the right for the trailer.

With the American Airlines Center, which is the host of UFC 103, already booked, the preceding official fighter weigh-ins instead take place at the Dallas Convention Center Arena.

The weigh-ins, set for Friday, Sept. 18, begin at 4 p.m. CT local time (5 p.m. ET) and are free and open to the public. Doors open at 3 p.m. CT.

The weigh-ins take place on the east side of the Dallas Convention Center Arena (known as the A-section), which is located at 650 S. Griffin St.

Members of the UFC Fight Club, which is the organization’s official fan club, can head to the convention center early for a Q&A session with UFC veteran Tito Ortiz. The session takes place from 2-3 p.m. CT.

Additionally, an official autograph session takes place at the venue from 1 to 3 p.m. CT with UFC fighters Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Diego Sanchez, Jake Rosholt, Jon Fitch and Mike Swick. The signing event is also free and open to the public.

UFC 103, which features a main event of Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort and a co-headliner of Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs. Junior Dos Santos, begins Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:20 p.m. ET (5:20 p.m. CT). A two-fight live broadcast of the prelims begins at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV, and the night’s pay-per-view broadcast kicks off at 10 p.m. ET. Doors to American Airlines Center open at 5:50 p.m. ET.

ESPN.com’s “Inside MMA” host Jon Anik reported today on his Twitter account that a Dec. 5 bout between Frankie Edgar (10-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) and Kurt Pellegrino (14-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) is currently in the works.

The lightweight bout is expected to take place at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

After suffering the first loss of his career to Gray Maynard in April 2008, Edgar has since bounced back with consecutive wins over Sean Sherk and Hermes Franca. The 27-year-old has gone to a decision in five of his six UFC fights, though two of those garnered “Fight of the Night” honors.

Meanwhile, after a difficult 1-2 stretch in the UFC, Pellegrino has re-invented himself by relocating himself to New Jersey. “Batman” has earned three-straight wins over Josh Neer, Robert Emerson and Thiago Tavares.

With the likely addition to the event, the rumored card for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale now includes:

With the first half of 2009 over, the NPD Group put out numbers for the best-selling games so far and Undisputed has ranked in the Top 5 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It’s #2 on the 360 and #4 on the PS3, which is an amazing feat considering the game was only released in May. THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell confirmed that the franchise will expand onto new platforms.

“Over time, we plan to build our UFC franchise by expanding international sales and by developing games on new platforms, such as handhelds and Nintendo Wii,” Farrell said.

Farrell did not specify when the series would debut on those new platforms, but his confirmation came after discussion of THQ’s plans to annualize the franchise. The executive didn’t get into details about next year’s game, other than to say that it would feature new gameplay modes and features.

UFC 2009 has been a breakthrough success for THQ. Earlier today, the publisher reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, citing the mixed martial arts game and its 2.9 million units shipped as a major factor in a 77 percent year-over-year sales spike.

Prior to getting tapped out by “The Punk” at DREAM 9 back in May, Sapp was pounded into submission by former WWE star Bobby Lashley in their “Ultimate Chaos” main event on June 27.

The former NFL offensive lineman is a bonafide star in “The Land of the Rising Sun,” however, that popularity has not carried over to the United States. In fact, the 6’5” 350-pound Sapp dropped his United States debut against 6′11” 330-pound South African, Jan “The Giant” Nortje (2-5), via embarrassing first round technical knockout under the Strikeforce banner last year.

Sapp’s only win in his last four attempts was against a character from a Japanese anime show, “Kinniku Mantaro,” at Fields Dynamite!! in Japan on New Year’s Eve 2008.

A win over the hard-hitting Sokoudjou could go a long way in keeping him employed.

In addition to the bout between Sokoudjou and Sapp, “Super Hulk” will also pit Hong-Man Choi and Ikuhisa Minowa in the other semifinal match. DREAM 11 will also feature the semifinal and final rounds of the featherweight tourney.
